Following the Rebound Leeb's principle, the new Leeb Portable Rebound Hardness Tester - QualiTip III - Portable Hardness Tester for Metals - positions itself on the top of the line of our portable rebound-type hardness testers, offering an excellent price/quality ratio to our customers. These models are efficiently and fully supported by our in-house technical & service department.

The portable hardness tester is capable of measuring the hardness of a broad variety of metals on flat and round surfaces. This instrument comes with interchangeable impact probe and digital display. The system also features an extended memory function (storage capacity: 999 readings). After obtaining data at the test site, the unit can generate a printout via the built-in printer to or be connected to a PC via USB interface for further analysis and printing the test data as desired.

The QualiTip III - Portable Rebound Hardness Tester is the high-end Leeb's rebound-type portable hardness tester, and an ideal solution for metallic hardness measurements with conversions to HLD, HRC, HRB, HB, HV, and HS. The measuring accuracy is +/- 0.5%.

Our rebound hardness testers cover a broad range of applications in industry and supply the required test results, in almost every application, where fixed hardness testers can not be used. These portable hardness testers conform to ASTM A956 standard.

In order to achieve accurate measurements with the Leeb Portable Rebound Hardness Tester - QualiTip III - Portable Hardness Tester for Metals, as any rebound hardness tester, the minimum thickness required of the sample is 3/8" (10mm) and weight of 11lb (5kg) for the samples. As with all hardness testers using Leeb’s rebound hardness principle, the unit will give faulty readings if these requirements are not met.
