This high-performance instrument accurately measures the needle penetration of various types of asphalt, including petroleum asphalt, modified asphalt, and residues from emulsified or liquid asphalt, helping determine viscosity and consistency with unmatched reliability. Under standard testing conditions (25℃ ± 0.1℃ constant temperature bath, 100g standard needle, 5-second vertical free fall), the QualiPen-1000Auto measures the depth of penetration into the asphalt sample and automatically calculates the penetration value. This value reflects the material’s hardness or softness - critical data for quality control in road construction and asphalt formulation. Beyond asphalt, the QualiPen-1000Auto is also suitable for testing the consistency of:
